The fixture resembles the typical chandelier builders pop into new homes. Sort of that transitional "Tuscany" look. The fixture is solid quality. The wiring was much more difficult than other fixtures I have installed. The metal tube that serves as conduit through the mounting bracket is unusually small. It was a struggle to get the wires to go through. Also, it ships FAST so don't think about changing your mind.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
